I.D. Honing

From .100 to 14 inch diameter by 78 inches long. Vertical Cylinder King, Horizontal, Automatic tube and simgle pass.

When removal of small amounts of material 0.002 to 0.003 per side is required, finish and geometry are critical. Honing will ensure the size and finish required.

All operations are inspected through every stage of production. This process includes formal quality procedures from initial statistical process capability to final inspection.

Honing is a manufacturing process that produces a precision surface on a workpiece by scrubbing an abrasive stone against it along a controlled path. Honing is primarily used to improve the geometric form of a surface, but may also improve surface texture.
